State Government would consider opening of Industrial Training Institute at Dehar in Sundernagar Sub-pision of district Mandi to give boost to vocational education in the area. This was stated by Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, while addressing an impressive public meeting at Sundernagar, after dedicating newly constructed Mini Secretariat Building, constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.23 crore to the people of the Sub-pision. He also performed foundation stone laying ceremony of Hostel for Children with Special Abilities (150 Nos.) estimated to cost Rs. 5.64 crore today.Chief Minister said that BJP believed in delivering goods to the people and this had been vindicated by 67 awards conferred on the State for development and public welfare by the reputed National, International agencies including Government of India. He said that some leaders had been claiming credit for the work which had been implemented by the present Government for themselves but people of the State knew well who had carried development. He appealed to the people to give befitting reply to the nefarious designs who were trying to befool them with political motive.Dhumal said that Atal School Uniform Yojna aimed at bringing about uniformity amongst the students. He said that Rs. 64 crore were being spent over providing two pairs of school uniform with stitching charges of Rs. 100 each to 9.27 lakh students from first to10th standard. He said that the scheme was bound to go a long way in bringing about qualitative improvement in the education sector. He said that Atal Bijli Bachat Yojna had been launched in year 2008 to provide four CFL bulbs to every domestic consumers free of cost which had saved over Rs. 110 crore on electricity bills of the consumers. He said that State Government had spent Rs. 65 crore over the scheme. He said that housing grant under Atal Awas Yojna had been increased from Rs. 27,500 to Rs. 48,500 so that adequate funds were made available to them.Chief Minister said that Atal Swasthya Sewa Yojna had been a great success which was dedicated to serve the ailing humanity at their critical juncture by transporting them to nearest hospital free of cost without wasting any time. He said that besides free institutional delivery, medical care for mother and child for one year was being ensured by the Government. He said that the State Government was spending Rs. 130 crore on providing every ration card holder essential commodities which includes three pulses, two packs of edible oil and iodized salt under public distribution scheme. He said that there were a number of schemes which had been envisioned and implemented successfully during past four years.Dhumal said that per capita income which was Rs. 43,000 in year 2007-08 had increased to over Rs. 73,000 in year 2011-12. He said that poly house cultivation culture under Pandit Deen Dayal Kisaan Baagwan Samridhi Yojna concept was derived from Sundernagar itself and implemented successfully which had benefited in bringing about revolution in agriculture sector. Chief Minister said that developmental projects worth over Rs. 16 crore had been dedicated and foundation stone laid during first day of three day visit to the district, which was a record in itself. He said that foundation stone of Mini Secretariat was laid on March 22, 2008 and completed in a record time. He said that the concept of Mini Secretariat was the vision of BJP Government with a view to provide people of the area all administrative and other facilities under one roof. He said that mini secretariats had been constructed and dedicated at Dharamshala, Rohru, Baijnath, Dehra and Nurpur in a record time. He said that Rs. 25 crore cost Mini Secretariat Building first phase had been constructed at Dharamshala while work on the second phase was in progress.Dhumal also listened to public grievances after the public meeting and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers to provide relief to the aggrieved. Chief Minister was accorded a rousing reception by the people of the area on his arrival at Sundernagar.Roop Singh Thakur, local MLA, welcomed the Chief Minister, to his home segment and thanked him for dedicating impressive Mini Secretariat building and laying foundation of hostel to children with special abilities. He thanked Chief Minister for providing Rs. 38 crore for completion of Engineering College building and sanctioning Rs. 5.13 crore for additional accommodation in the college and Rs. 7 crore for student hostel, funds for sewerage scheme, Rs. 10 crore for housing of urban poor; Rs. 11 crore for drinking water supply scheme for the town; Rs. 2.38 crore for hostel of Government Polytechnic College; Rs. 1.45 crore for hostel of Sanskrit College. He thanked for filling all posts of medical specialists in local hospital. He urged for opening of degree college at Nihri, ITI at Dehar and upgradation of GSSS Poura Kothi. He said that history had been created in developmental achievements during past four years in Sundernagar segment.Smt.
