Minister of State for Revenue and Relief, Aijaz Ahmed Khan today said that government is committed for overall development of remote areas and weaker sections of the society. Minister was speaking at public meeting organised at Suranda Sangaldan, District Ramban.
On the occasion, he announced an ambulance for PHC Suranda Sangaldan under his CDF. He also assured the people that the Fencing of Eidgah and Foot Bridge will be taken up soon. Minister said that the government has launched various developmental and social welfare schemes for the upliftment of women, children, old and weaker sections of the society. He said several developmental works have been carried out in the area under various road projects, opening of Colleges, ITIs, schools etc.
Aijaz directed the ZEO Gool to Ensure Education Mapping besides directing PHE authorities to immediately restore the water supply in the area. He also directed the concerned authorities to formulate proposal for left out habitations to be connected under PMGSY. Earlier, people apprised the Minister about their various demands including opening of new Polytechnic College in Sangaldan, issuance of new ration cards in the area, ,double laning of road from Ramban to Gool, park at Sangaldan , upgradation of middle schools to high schools, filling of posts in schools and health centres of the area, strengthening of power infrastructure, opening of more JK Bank branches, More Health Centres and Ambulance for the area , railway compensation to the people etc. ACD Arvind Kirwani, Revenue officials, district and sectoral officers, Sarpanches, panches and other dignitaries attended the function.
