The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) has achieved unique distinction of 100% placement of the students in the leading National and International Companies and is occupying challenging positions drawing handsome package.Disclosing this here today Mr. Madan Mohan Mittal, Industries, Commerce and Technical Education, Minister, Punjab said that it is our endeavor to promote state of Punjab as a Fashion Hub. NIIFT has played a vital role in bringing more professionalism in the textile and clothing industry and has attracted talent in this sector. The Institute has its own Placement Cell which enables the students to get placements in Fashion industry. NIIFT students were working for world famous leading brands Few among those are Reebok, Numero Uno, Adidas, RMX Joss, Cascade Enterprises, Vardhman Group, Orient Crafts, Matrix Clothing, Rupayan, Nahar Group, Richa & Co, Sewa Exports, Cheer Sagar, Wingsfield, Graffiti, Ravels, GIVO International, B.L. International, etc. Many Domestic Brands such as Sportking, Globus, Monte Carlo, Rage, Duke Fashions, Black Berry, VXL Techs etc. have been associated with NIIFT. He further said that the Students have also been promoted by leading Designers, like Manish Arora, Anshu Arora Sen, Manju & Bobby Gover and many more. NIIFT equips the students with the expertise to open up their own enterprises, Design Studios or work with leading Export Houses.He said that Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) was set up at Mohali in 1995 by the Govt. of Punjab under the Department of Industries & Commerce. NIIFT, Mohali has also set up two Centers at Ludhiana and Jalandhar in the year 2008 and 2009 respectively.
