State Government has initiated various developmental projects for better economic, social and education development of the people. This was stated by Minister by Hajj Auqaf, Floriculture and Public Enterprises, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed in a public rally at Gadole-Kokernag. He said that Development of far-flung areas is the prime and foremost priority of the present Government and every possible step is being taken for achieving this purpose. Government is also committed for improving and upgrading the existing infrastructure with regard to roads, water supply and power projects. The Minister further said that a huge network of educational and health institutions have been woven round the state especially in far-flung areas so that the people of these areas can reap the benefits of development in a better way. Besides establishment of two Degree Colleges in Breng Constituency various secondary and middle schools have been upgraded to higher levels so that education is taken to doorsteps of the needy. Sub District Hospital Kokernag has been added with latest equipments besides establishing a modern multi-facility blood bank recently.
Minster also said that various villages have been provided road connectivity through PMGSY and R&B besides macadamization and block topping of various roads. As many as 20 new road projects have been approved for the constituency recently. The work on several water supply schemes is also going on in full swing besides upgrading LT/HT transmission lines so that power loss is minimized. With regard to tourist infrastructure, Peerzada said that recently inaugurated budgeted accommodation and TRC at Kokernag is aimed for attracting more and more tourists to this place and improving facilities for them. He said that DPR of various new tourist projects have been sent to Central Govt. for approval by virtue of which more and more place will be developed as tourist destinations.Lauding the Central Government for their whole hearted financial support and funding for J&K, Peerzada said that development would have been impossible without their support.Peerzada also revealed that centrally sponsored schemes like SSA, RMSA, MG NREGA, IAY, NBA, ATMA, RJJVY and PMGSY have changed the development map of J&K especially rural areas.
