A sum of Rs. 18 lakh had been sanctioned by the Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal to 13 persons for their treatment and other emergencies from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund yesterday. These include Rs. three lakh to Shri Sunil Dutt of Village Badher, Tehsil Barsar, District Hamirpur for fitting of below Knee Prosthesis, Rs. three lakh to Shri Tirath Ram of village Samoorkalan, Tehsil and district Una, Rs. two lakh to Shri Durga Dass of village Tryambla of Tehsil Sadar, District Mandi, Rs. two lakh to Shri Ajay Kumar of village Bagru, Tehsil Shahpur, District Kangra, Rs. 1.5 lakh to Shri Jia Lal of Village Thana, Tehsil Sarkaghat, District Mandi, Rs. 1.5 lakh to Kumari Kavita of village Kadund, Tehsil Padhar, District Mandi, Rs. one lakh to master Nikshit of village Pei of Tehsil Rampur, District Shimla, Rs. one lakh to Shri Tek Chand of village Tanda, Tehsil Sadar, District Mandi, Rs. 75,000 to Miss Poonam of village Samoorkalan, Tehsil and District Una, Rs. 70,000 to Shri Dharampal of village Barad, Tehsil Jhanduta, District Bilaspur, Rs. 70,000 to Shri Hukam Chand, village Padhian, Tehsil Sarkaghat, District Mandi, Rs. 50,000 to Shri Jagat Pal of village Panoul, District Bilaspur and Rs. 35,000 to Shri Tulsi Ram of village Pasal, Tehsil Arki, District Solan for their treatment. These persons belong to poor families and could not manage to arrange money for their treatment which was required urgently. Chief Minister Relief Fund has saved many precious lives who otherwise could not afford expenses on account of treatment. Over Rs. 23 crore had been given to more than 12000 persons for their treatment and also in other emergent during last four and a half years from this Fund. Chief Minister has also urged people to contribute generously for CM Relief Fund as the money so collected is used for helping the poor and needy.
