After having created quite a stir on Zee TV’s primetime show Ram Milaayi Jodi with his mysterious entry as Bharti’s son Aditya, actor Angad Hasija is taking a quick break from his shoot to pay a visit to his hometown Chandigarh for the festival of Lohri. While the fun-loving, free-spirited actor is still getting used to playing the quiet and stoic Aditya, he is all set to celebrate Lohri in a big way during his homecoming. Angad couldn’t be more excited about celebrating it with the people closest to his heart in the place that he has called home for years now – Chandigarh!
“I come from a typical Punjabi family and Lohri has always been celebrated in a big way at home ever since I can remember” said Angad. “It has always been an occasion for the family to gather around the Lohri bonfire at our ancestral home, dancing & singing around it. I can still remember the delicious taste of my daadi’s sarson da saag and makke di roti which she would personally make for all of us every year on Lohri. Gachak that is typically prepared and shared around Lohri is a hot favorite with me.”
The current track centers around the past life of Bharti (Krutika Desai) and the re-emergence of her eldest son Aditya (played by Angad Hasija) who she had given away at birth to a religious monastery, viewers will be in for a surprise as new developments unfold in the coming weeks. Will Aditya finally be reunited with his mother and gain acceptance into the family or will the past be buried once and for all?
Speaking of his experience as Aditya, Angad said, “My character, Aditya, has already caused quite a ripple in the current track of the show. And what’s more, it has been exciting to be share screen space with Sara again. I believe she and I prove to be lucky for one another. I have always had a feeling that destiny will somehow find our paths crossing again and yet again. And look … it’s happening! ”
