In continuation with the drive against drug peddling Srinagar police nabbed a drug peddler with 2 kilograms of Charas in Nowhata area of Srinagar city on Wednesday.A police party headed by SDPO Khanyar Ajaz Ahmed and SHO Nowhatta laid a naka at rainawari. During the naka checking a person tried to flee on being intercepted. The police party nabbed him after a chase and on his search police recovered 2kgs of Charas. The arrested drug peddler was later identified as Ghulam Rasool a resident of Rainawari Srinagar.A case vide FIR number 43/2015 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the peddler and investigation has been taken up,” a police official told CNS.
