Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings, Ch.Lal Singh today stressed be need to put in dedicated and sincere efforts to provide better healthcare facilities to the people in every nook and corner of the State, adding that focus of the Government is to provide improve healthcare facilities to the people at their doorsteps health institutions. This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the medicos and para-medics after inspecting the healthcare facilities being provided to the people at Community Health Centre (CHC) Basholi, here today. He also listened problems of doctors and para-medics and said that government has already initiated several steps for improving the working environment and created better facilities in the Government institutions and hoped that they deliver as per the expectations of the public.

District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Mr. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Deputy Director Health Services, Dr. Ajay Gupta and Chief Medical Officer, Kathua accompanied the Minister.

Continuing with his endeavour to provide better health facilities to people at their doorsteps, the Minister asked the hospital authorities to chalk out effective strategies to provide enhanced and prompt health services to the people. He directed for creating necessary infrastructure including stock of medicines and equipments.Ch. Lal Singh hoped that CHC Basholi will be able to cater the needs of thousands of people of Basholi town and they may not have to move to district hospital Kathua and hospitals of Jammu city for getting the specialized diagnostic and treatment facilities. He informed that CHC Basholi equipped with all infrastructural facilities at par with district hospital Kathua.

The Minister said that Government is making all out efforts to provide round the clock healthcare facilities to the people of remote and far off areas of the State adding that in this regard government is taking steps to upgrade the overall healthcare scenario and the change is visible on the ground.The Minister asked the doctors to gear up their efforts in improving OPD and IPD in their respective hospitals including bedding and cleanliness.Taking series note on the absent from duties of Sanjeev Majotra, Dental Surgeon, Sheetal Prasad, BHW and Vijay Vikas Field Worker, the Minister ordered Chief Medical Officer, Kathua to put explanation call of Sanjeev Majotra Dental Surgeon and issue order for transfer of Sheetal Prasad and Vijay Vikas to other district.
