Minister for Health & Medical Education today inspected the ambulances purchased by the department that will be distributed among the health institutions in various districts of the Valley including Leh and Kargil, so that better transportation facility is provided to the patients especially to those living in remote and far-flung areas of the State.

It is pertinent to mention here that these ambulances would be distributed and flagged-off on July 29 to the concerned health institutions.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the present government has taken various initiatives for providing best healthcare to the people particularly living in far-off areas of the State, saying that this step is also one among them. He   asked the concerned to put these ambulances to proper use so that the basic aim for which these have been acquired is achieved.Among others, Director General, ISM Dr. Kabir, Director, Health Services Kashmir, Dr. Sameerji Matto, Director Family Welfare Dr. Baldev Raj and other senior officers of the department were also present on the occasion.
