Pawan Kumar Gupta takes stock of development scenario in Udhampur

Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta today conducted extensive tour of his constituency to take stock of the developmental activities.The Minister visited Padanu Panchayat and Chak village where he apprised the locals about the initiatives by the present dispensation for the holistic development of the area. At Chak, Mr. Gupta received brief on the damage caused to the link roads due to incessant rains including road connecting Sokard with Chak.The Minister also enquired about the staff strength in the government schools in the area. At village Chitambli, people demanded installation of   hand pumps to overcome water scarcity in the area. Similarly, at village Dugli, people demanded installation of high capacity transformer to overcome the problem of low voltage.

The Minister also visited Kalta village and was informed by the villagers that there is acute shortage of staff and teachers in the government school.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister assured that all issues highlighted by the people shall be mitigated in a phased manner at the earliest. He said the issues have been noted and will be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal. Regarding construction and repair of roads, Mr. Gupta informed the people that Plan worth Rs 12.30 crore has already been formulated for the purpose. Similarly, for augmentation of power supply in the area, a grid station at an estimated cost of Rs. 4 crore is being constructed.The Minister said that under the PMGSY scheme, construction of Chak-Wakkal, Nambal-Parla Chak and Chak-Mela Bagh are already being prioritized for execution. He said that all the village link roads are being undertaken for repairs in a phased manner.
