State Congress Chief G.A. Mir Monday termed the ouster of former chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah as president of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) as “un-democratic”, and said the National Conference leader was to serve on the chair of the cricket body for two more years as per the term of the office.“The way Dr Farooq was ousted from chair of JKCA overnight clearly shows the un-democratic way of working of the present dispensation,” Mir said talking to KNS over phone. He said Mufti-led government was no different from earlier NC-led governments in the state with regards to corruption. “It is an old wine in new bottles. Mufti government instead of clean the JKCA from corruption and mess has decide to continue the system under which the cricket body was working till now,” he said, terming election of Minister of Youth Services and Sports Imran Ansari as JKCA’s new president illegal.
