Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings, Ch Lal Singh today inaugurated the double storey additional accommodation at Government High School (GHS) Jankhar in Basholi town constructed at a cost of Rs. 39.91 lakh by R&B department under RMSA.District Development Commissioner, Ajay Singh Jamwal, Director School Education, Mrs. Yasha Mudgal, Mission Director NHM Dr. Yash Pal Sharma, Director Health Services Dr. B S Pathania, Director Horticulture Anil Kumar Sharma, Ex-MLA Kanta Andotra, Director Agriculture S. S Jamwal, SDM S Gurmukh Singh besides other senior officers of R&B, Education, PHE, Horticulture, Social Welfare, Education and RDD accompanied the Minister.Addressing a large gathering after inaugurating the building, the Minister said the Government is keen to realize the most cherished goal of achieving cent percent literacy in the state by taking education facility to doorsteps of the people especially in the remotest areas. Lal Singh lauded the role of education department for its endeavours to improve the educational standard in government schools.
The Minister asked the teaching fraternity to put their sincere efforts in providing quality education to the students. He also stressed upon them to inculcate moral values among the students besides ensuring quality education.Lal Singh said that Government is committed to create adequate facilities in rural schools at par with urban centres. He said fulfilling people’s aspirations and developmental needs is on top agenda of the Government. He assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs would be fulfilled in a phased manner.The Minister highlighted the role of the teachers and parents in the life of the children. He asked the students to work hard and achieve excellence in their objectives. He urged the younger generation to participate in co-curricular activities as these are essential for making them physically and mentally fit. Earlier, the Minister inaugurated a passenger shed at gateway of the State, Lakhanpur.
