Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq today inspected various project under construction in several areas of Lolab Valley.The Minister inspected a bridge under construction at a cost of Rs. 4.11 crore at Kanispor, Lolab. He was informed that till date Rs. 2 crore have been spent on the project. Mr. Khan during his extensive visit of the valley also inspected Shomdayal Bridge being constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.96 Crore out of which Rs. 94.50 Lakh have been spent.Later, the Minister visited Byepass, Lolab and took stock of the work under execution on the bridge. The project cost of the bridge has been estimated at Rs. 4.53 Crore and the work is expected to be completed shortly.
Mr. Haq also inspected the under construction Dadpora-Lolab link road and culvert being constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.50 Lakh.The Minister inspected the construction work on a tourist hut of the Department of Irrigation at Krosan, Lalpora. An amount of Rs. 42 lakh is being spent on the project.Later, the Minister chaired a public Darbar at Lalpora where people presented their issues with regard to supply of electricity and drinking water and construction and repair of roads in different areas.The Minister assured the people that Government will take necessary steps to address the issues on priority.Abdul Haq was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, District Officers, and concerned engineers.
