Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sukhnandan Kumar Choudhary today visited langer points of Shri Amarnathji yatra from Srinagar to Jammu including Anantnaag, Makerkote, Karole bridge,Chanderkote, Ramban, Batote, Kud and Udhampur. While inspecting the langers, the Minister directed the concerned administration to check and monitor the food material before preparing the langer for pilgrims and ensure supply of quality food for them.After visiting the base camps and langer points which have been set up by the State Government in collaboration with Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board and various Langer Associations of the country, he said that the Government has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the Yatra.While interacting with the Minister the devotees from various States and places of the country including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Ahmadabad, Patna and other parts of the country expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements made by the Government for their hospitality during the Yatra. The officers of different departments briefed the Minister about the facilities made available for pilgrims enroute.
