To review the arrangements for Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Wida, and Eid-ul-Fitr, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Nisar Ahmed Wani convened a meeting here today Senior Superintendent of Police, J S Johar, Additional District Development Commissioner, Arvind Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohd Saleem Malik and other officers and heads of various religious organizations were present in the meeting.During the meeting, various arrangements like security, maintenance of law and order, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, medicare, check on rates of eatables besides sanitation and cleanliness around Eidgahs and Mosques were discussed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure that all the arrangements are made well in time. Executive Officer, Municipal Council was asked to ensure cleanliness around Eidgahs and Mosques while the officers of Food Safety were directed to keep a check on adulteration of eatables besides keeping an eye on the markets to ensure availability of all essentials at reasonable rates. He also asked them to carry out regular market checking curb the anti-consumer practices.The PDD and PHE authorities were asked to ensure un-interrupted power and water supply during observance of Shab-e-Qadr and for the congregational prayers on Jumat-ul-Wida and Eid-ul-Fitr.
