Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Monday said it is looking forward to Prime Minister Narendra Modi presenting a ‘genuine’ economic package for the state.“We do not want to comment over the contents of the package yet. Let the announcement be made by the Prime Minister first. It would be too early to say what will be in the offing,” state Congress chief G.A. Mir told KNS.He maintained that the party hopes that the damaged flood structures in the state are repaired with the succour being provided to the victims of the last year’s ravaging floods. “A present we can only hope that the package that is being claimed to be announced soon for Jammu and Kashmir would soothe the blighted people of Kashmir besides being massive for putting the state back on gear after the September 2014 deluge,” Mir added.Pertinently, the reports came to fore about Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to announce a mega development package for Jammu and Kashmir on his Eid eve visit to the valley.
