The ruling BJP on Monday clarified that July 13 has no ‘resemblance’ for the party and political parties in Kashmir visit the graveyard on the day just to hoodwink people.“We have seen since decades that such exercises are done to exploit people, gain political mileages and hoodwink masses at large,” BJP spokesman told KNS when asked about the reason for BJP not to attend the official function held at Martyrs’ graveyard on Monday.He alleged that NC founder Sheikh Abdullah used the same slogan of July 13 to become the chief minister of the state and NC continues to exploit people of the state even today by that slogan.The party maintained it entered into alliance with the PDP for giving good governance to the state of Jammu and Kashmir and not for participating in the events like these of July 13,Pertinently, such a statement by the BJP carries importance as the entire state BJP camp held a detailed meet with the party president Amit Shah in New Delhi earlier to chalk out a future strategy vis-a-vis its alliance with the PDP in Jammu and Kashmir.
