NDA Government At The Centre Never Discriminated Against Any State :Dhumal

Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister said that NDA Government at the Centre never discriminated against any State and former Prime Minister Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee provided liberal financial assistance to every State to ensure the development in the country. He was addressing the National Conference of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha at Dharamshala today. Dhumal said that Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee had special attachment with Himachal Pradesh and he not only provided liberal financial assistance to the State but also  sanctioned special Industrial Package to Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Jammu and Kashmir for ten years so that these hill States could develop and employment for educated youth are created. He said that the UPA Government at the Centre had restricted the  time span of  industrial package from 2013 to 2010 which was gross injustice with these States. Chief Minister said that Shri Atat Behari Vajpayee gave a vision for the State and suggested to develop it as 'Education Hub' and added that now the State was emerging as an 'Education Hub' in the northern India with 11 private Universities, one Technical University and other quality higher professional educational institutions. Dhumal said that every section of the society  had been benefitted during the  tenure of the present State Government. He said that in order to provide relief to the common man, the Government was providing essential foodgrains including three pulses, two edible oil and salt on subsidized rates to more than 16,000 ration card holders of the State by spending Rs. 130 crore as subsidy. Chief Minister said that tourism was being developed as an industry and added that lakhs of tourists visited various religious places which was boosting religious tourism in a big way. He said that more than 1.5 crore tourists visited the State last year which included five lakh foreign tourists. He said that the State Government was also encouraging adventure tourism by promoting activities like para gliding, ski driving, river rafting, mountaineering and water sports which had large potential. Bhrig Vanshu Patra, National Vice President, BJYM welcomed the Chief Guest  and detailed out the objectives of the conference. Anurag Thakur, MP and President, National BJYM was also present on the occasion.
