CM dedicates Charan and Manjhi khads bridges in Kangra district

Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister dedicated Rs. 132.55 lakh Charan khad bridge and Rs. 108.45 lakh Manjhi khad bridge on Dharamshala-Khaniyara road in Kangra district today.Chief Minister said that these bridges would not only ease the traffic congestion in and around Dharamshala but would also provide best transportation services. He said that Dharamshala town was emerging as important township of the State and State Government was committed to its planned development. He said that these bridges would facilitate the people of Upper Barol, Baralu, Sonkani-da-Kot, Chuhal and Thatari etc. Later, Chief Minister dedicated Rs. eight crore Regional Centre of Himachal Pradesh University and Institute of Legal Studies at Khaniyara near Dharamshala, the foundation stone of which was laid by Shri Virbhadra Singh in 2005. Chief Minister said that all facilities for research and legal studies were available in the institute. Shri Virbhadra Singh also dedicated Community Health Centre at Banuri near Palampur constructed at a cost of Rs. 88 lakh and newly constructed Police Station at Bhawarana constructed at a cost of Rs. 89 lakh. Speaker, H.P. Vidhan Sabha Shri B.B.L. Butail, Shri Kaul Singh Thakur, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Shri G.S. Bali, Transport Minister, MPP and Power Minister Shri Sujan Singh Pathania, Urban Development Minister Shri Sudhir Sharma, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries Shri Rajesh Dharmani, Shri Jagjivan Pal, MLAs Shri Sanjay Rattan, Shri Ajay Mahajan and Shri Pawan Kajal, former MP Shri Chander Kumar, Vice Chairman H.P. Forest Development Corporation Shri Kewal Singh Pathania, DGP Shri Sanjay Kumar, Advisor to Chief Minister Shri T.G. Negi, Vice Chancellor, H.P. University, Prof. A.D.N. Bajpai, Chairman, H.P. Board of School Education, Shri Balbir Tegta,  senior officers and prominent persons of the area were present on the occasion.
