Manjit Singh appeals AICC Secretary to grant reservation to IB people

Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh demanded appealed Incharge J&K and Secretary All India Congress Committee (AICC) Manul Haq to grant reservation to the people living along International Border.In a statement, Haq had arrived here to see the border villages and meet the affected families due to Pakistan Ranger’s firing. He listen to their grievances and assured that he would raise their demands before the party high command for their early solution.During his visit, Haq went to SM Pur and other areas of vijaypur block.. Singh referring to the demands of the locals demanded that reservation should be given to the people on IB like it is given to the people on LoC. Manjit Singh also appraised the AICC Secretary that the farmers have been facing problem as they are not being allowed to go ahead of fence on their fields.If they are not allowed to go to their fields, then the Government should given them rent of the land ahead of fence, Singh said, adding that the affected people should be shifted to safer places.Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Manmohan Singh, Ex Corporator and JKPCC, Babal Gupta, Updesh Kumar, Gain Chand, Youth Congress leader Parmamjeet Singh Pamma, Chander Shekhar vice president IYC Vijaypur, Dr Pankaj Mohan, Sarpanch Sukhjinder Singh, Sarpanch Sham Lal Bhagat, Sarpach Natha Ram, Teerath Bhagat, Choudhary Chura Ram, Gurcharan Singh Billa, Deepak Choudhary, Baljit Singh, Billu Choudhary, and Gurcharan Singh.
