District Development Commissioner Budgam, Khursheed Ahmad Shah Saturday urged upon the officers for speedy implementation of developmental activities so that the works are completed well before winter season in the district.Deputy Commissioner was reviewing implementation of centrally sponsored flagship programmes in a meeting here, attended by legislators from various constituencies of Budgam district besides, Director Rural Development Department, concerned District Officers, Block Development Officers (BDOs) and District heads of Engineering departments also participated. It was given out in the meeting that against an availability of Rs. 1757.83 lakhs under MG NREGA Rs. 1623.92 lakhs have been expended thereby generating 546279 mandays of work and completion of 1668 works whereas under Indira Awas Yojana total expenditure of Rs. 2.9 crore has been booked and 1710 houses have been taken up out of which 894 have been completed till date.Member Legislative Council from Budgam, Mr. Ali Mohammad Dar informed the meeting about various activities dovetailed with Constituency Development Fund. MLA Chadoora, Mr. Javed Mustafa Mir also highlighted various developmental issues including issuance of job cards.Block Development Officers (BDOs) briefed the meeting about the status of work in their respective blocks.Director Rural Development asked the officers of the department to work in synchronization with concerned legislators and village Panchs and Sarpanchs for the overall development of their respective blocks.
