Urban Development Minister, Sudhir Sharma thanked the Chief MinisterVirbhadra Singh for launching first e-commerce zone of India from Dharamsala, laying foundation stones of Rs 200 crore Himani –Chamunda Ropeway project and rupees five crore Marketing Yard at Passu.It has been an important day for the people of Dharamsala he remarked adding that it was a proud moment for the very reason that the birthday of Dalai Lama, an International reverend leader and an apostle of peace, and the winner of Noble Peace Prize was celebrated at Dharamshala today in which Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh also participated along with his wife Smt. Pratibha Singh, State Youth Congress President Shri Vikramaditya Singh, and daughter Meenakshi.Above all a documentary named ‘Icon of an Era’, on the life of Virbhadra Singh was also released by Dalai Lama and screened at Tibetan Children Village here which highlighted important events and happenings of Shri Virbhadra Singh’s life, he added.Earlier, CEO of Snapdeal Shri Kunal Behl honoured the Chief Minister and other guests and said the company would help promote traditional handicrafts of the State through a specially created online store for Himachal handicrafts.
