To review physical and financial achievements of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in district Ramban, a Quarterly meeting of District Health Society, Ramban was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Ramban, M.H. Malik.Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Reasi, District Health Officer, Block Medical Officers with programme management units of the district besides Chief Education Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Executive Engineer PHE and District Panchayat Officer were present on the occasion.The DDC reviewed different activities under NRHM especially Janani Suraksha Yojna, Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram, incentives paid to ASHA workers, institutional deliveries, physical and financial achievements registered.
He was also apprised about the expenditure recorded in the district under NRHM which include utilization in RKS, JSY, JSSK. The DDC exhorted upon the officers for upgrading the functioning of ASHAs in the field so as to reduce home deliveries, enhance the number of institutional deliveries, menstrual hygiene scheme, maternal and infant mortality.
DDC appreciated the efforts of the department for timely meeting the needs of the poor and needy people. He directed the implementing agencies to gear up efforts for effective implementation of flagship schemes and stressed for close coordination among different departments for achieving the set targets.A meeting of District Project E-Mission Team was also held in which status of HMIS and MCTS was discussed in detail.
