On the 51st foundation day of Awami Action Committee (AAC), head of AAC and chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq termed the sacrifices of AAC leadership and its workers and activists towards the movement as a golden chapter in the history of Kashmir.In a statement to KNS Mirwaiz said since past many decades, AAC has represented the political aspirations and emotions of Kashmiris by showing full commitment and resolve towards the cause.
“AAC leadership like its founder Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq has always led from the front and offered sacrifices for the cause. It was the prime responsibility of AAC to carry forward the mission of its leaders and workers, who sacrificed their lives for the mission of AAC,” he said.
The Huriyat (M) chairman said that the founder of the party fought till his last breath for the rights of people. “As such we should take forward the struggle for right to self determination with unity, commitment and complete resolve to its logical end,” he said.Due to the holy month of Ramadan, Mirwaiz said the scheduled programmes to mark the foundation day of AAC have been deferred and would be observed after Idd-ul-Fitr.Mirwaiz stressed upon the AAC leaders workers and activists that apart from conducting organizational duties, they should also focus on delivering social service in this holy month of Ramadaan.
