J&K Team won Overall champions trophy in 33rd Junior nationals in Puducherry

State Minister for Science and Information Technology, Medical Education, School Education, Youth Service and Sports Feroz Ahmad Khan congratulated the J&K State Junior Taekwondo team for being the overall winner Trophy in the recently concluded 33rd Junior National Taekwondo Kyorugi/Poomsae Championship at Puducherry, organized by Taekwondo Federation of India.J&K team brought 6 medals including 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals and Won Overall Champions trophy in Poomsae event. This is 2nd consecutive time J&K team won Champions trophy in Junior Nationals, and the last time J&K team won in Guwahati National.

He appreciated the team’s efforts and the training being provided o the team by the J&K Taekwondo Association under the supervision of the Chief Technical Director J&K Taekwondo and the Recipent of the Prestigious Sher-e-Kashmir Award this year Shri Atul Pangotra who is an employee of Youth Service and Sports Department.Chairman J&K Taekwondo Association Sh. Anil Gupta (Annu) congratulated the team for excellent performance in the above said championship. Under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Anil Gupta J&K team continue giving best result because he always motivating players and felicitate them for best performance and after arrival of team from puducherry he will organize felicitation function for the winning team.

President JKTA Sh. P.C.Sharma, Secretary Sh. D.N.Pangotra and Vice- President Sh. Ranjeet Kalra & Sh Shahnawaz Choudhary and from Kashmir Sh. Nisar Hussain also congratulated all the medal winners and wish them Good luck to maintain their winning Spree in the next Championship and thanked Hon’ble Minister for Sports, Secretary J&K State Sports Council and Director General, Youth Services & Sports Deptt for kind support and provide all facilities.

J&K Taekwondo Association organized 5 days special pre-participation coaching camp for the said championship under the coaching of Mr. Atul Pangotra (NIS) Commonwealth medalist. He shared his vast experiences with the team and finally team got excellent result.

List of Medal Winners:-

1. Sanket Sharma Gold medal in Junior Inpidual event.

2. Sanket Sharma & Narmita Katoch, Silver Medal in Mixed Pair event.

3. Aman Sharma, Sanket Sharma & Honey Bali won Bronze medalin Gropu event.
