Parkash Singh Badal Watches ‘Hind Di Awaaz’ Play At Sri Anandpur Sahib

On the sidelines of his busy schedule during the celebrations of 350th foundation day of Sri Anandpur Sahib, the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal watched a play ‘Hind Di Awaaz’ at the auditorium of Virasat-e-Khalsa today evening. 

Accompanied by senior officers of the state government and district administration, the Chief Minister watched this play presented by the Harpal Tiwana Foundation which was based on martyrdom of ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib and Chote Sahibzadas. Badal watched this play for about two hours during which the artists regaled the audiences with their scintillating performances and showcased the glorious chapters of the Sikh history and the events leading to the martyrdom of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur and younger Sahibzadas. Leading actors like Mrs. Neena Tiwana, Mrs. Nirmal Rishi, Mr. Manpal Tiwana besides others reminded the people about Sikh tradition of courage, valor and sacrifice with their powerful performances. Hailing the performances of these actors, the Chief Minister congratulated them and said that such efforts were required for perpetuating the glorious saga of sacrifices and our rich cultural history amongst our younger generations. He also felicitated the eminent actors who have performed in the play. It may be recalled that this play was written by eminent play writer and actor late Mr. Harpal Tiwana and its music had been composed by Ghazal Maestro late Mr. Jagjit Singh. The Chief Minister was accompanied by his Special Principal Secretary Mr. KJS Cheema.
