Emphasizing close coordination among different departments to address the public grievances on priority, Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar today asked the officers to adopt a pro-active approach to streamline services and maintain public utilities.The Minister said this while chairing a high level meeting of senior officers of various departments convened to review their functioning here today.

 The meeting was attended by pisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu, Commissioner JMC, Kiran Watal, Director Tourism, Soujanya Sharma, Vice Chairman, JDA, K.L. Khajuria, ADC, Rehana BatulChief Engineer PDD, Shehnaz Goni, Chief Engineer PHE, K.K. Gupta, Director CAPD, G.S. Chib, SSP Traffic, S. Manmohan Singh, ARTO Jammu, Kuldeep Singh besides other senior officers of concerned departments.The Minister asked the Chief Engineers PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply in the region. He asked Chief Engineer PDD to repair damaged transformers immediately to further improve the power scenario.

The Minister asked the CAPD authorities to be more accountable and make public distribution system effective and transparent. He directed the Commissioner JMC to ensure proper sanitation and remove illegal encroachments. He asked the Health Department to ensure enhanced health services to the people and take innovative steps to combat dengue.

The Minister also took stock of law and order situation and other arrangements being made by the civil administration in Jammu pision for darbar move to winter capital.The Minister asked the officers to gear up their efforts to make foolproof arrangements for comfortable stay of move employees besides hassle free functioning of the government offices.The Minister also took stock of loss of public property due to heavy shelling at villages located near borders in Jammu region. He directed the administration to reach out to affected people to ensure timely rehabilitation measures.

Reviewing the status of ongoing development projects especially under Special Task Force (STF), the Minister asked the executing agencies to expedite the ongoing projects for their time bound completion.
