Badal Constitutes Committee To Finalize The Plan For Skill Development Courses In Health Sector

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today approved to constitute a committee headed by eminent Dr. K.K. Talwar to finalize the new health skill development training courses. A decision to this effect was taken by Badal during a meeting with the renowned doctors from various health institutes and the senior officers of the Health and Medical Education & Research Departments.The Chief Minister directed the Health Department to prepare a comprehensive plan under the guidance of the committee for initiating new skill development courses in health sector to provide a gainful employment to the unemployed youth of the state, besides facilitating the easy availability of skilled force for the health care sectors, public as well as private. Badal said that there was a vast scope of skilled health workers today and government was committed to explore all possible areas with productive employment generation potential in the larger interest of our youth. On the occasion all the experts expressed their view point. Responding to various proposals, Principal Secretary Health . Vini Mahajan assured to incorporate all their vital suggestions in the plan to be placed before the committee for final approval. Prominent amongst those who attended the meeting included Dr. KK Talwar, Dr. KS Chugh, Dr. Ajmer Singh, Dr. Baldev Singh Aulakh, Dr. RS Pawar, Dr. GS Gill, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister SK Sandhu, Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister KJS Cheema, Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare  Vini Mahan, Secretary Medical Education and Research . Anjali Bhawra, Directore Health Dr. JP Singh and Director Medical Education & Research Dr. AS Thind, besides many other doctors from private sector  and officers of the state government.
