A meeting of Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here today under the chairmanship of MLA, Mian Altaf Ahmad to review the functioning of PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Departments.
Legislators, Mr. M Y Tarigami, Mr. Mohammad Khalil Band, Mr. Abdul Rashid Dar, Mr. Satpaul Sharma, Mr. Ajay Nanda, Mr. Rajeev Sharma, Syed Farooq Ahmed Andrabi and Mr. Zaffar Iqbal Manhas attended the meeting.Threadbare discussions were held on Audit Report pertaining to the PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Departments for the year of 2014.
The Committee discussed other important issues of PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control department.
During the meeting the legislators, gave their suggestions and recommendation for further improving the functioning of the department.Secretary, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr. Parvez A Malik, Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control, Kashmir, Mr. Mir Javed Jafar, Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control, Jammu, Mr. Rajeev Gandotra, other senior officers of concerned department, besides officer and officials of Assembly Secretariat were also present on the occasion.
