Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today appealed Chief Election Officer, J&K and Election Commission of India to look into the fraud and fake votes in the voting lists of Vijaypur constituency.“The names of those people have been included in the voting lists who are not the residents of Vijaypur. The Election Commission of India and Chief Election officer of State should look into the issue and make necessary corrections,” Manjit Singh, in a statement here said.Expressing his anger, Singh alleged that they have found many names in the voter’s list.“The fake names included in the voter lists also has names in other voting lists of other areas and it is the matter of investigation as to how their names were included,” Singh said, while saying that they would not allow such things which were being promoted on the behest of some political party to ensure more voting. To highlight the issue, he said that he has also called on Deputy Commissioner, Samba and projected the concern before him.
