Stressing upon the Officers to keep availability of every basic facility of the general public during days of Ramzan, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon chaired a meeting of Officers today at Dak Bungalow Sopore. Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, SDM Sopore Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone and Officers form CAPD, PHE, Fisheries, R & B, Police, health and other departments attended the meeting.During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner informed the Divisional Commissioner that the Sopore Bye-pass bridge has recently been completed on fast track basis. Moreover, Ration has been distributed in advance for the month of June in view of Ramzan. The DC also informed that the Sub-district hospital Sopore is working efficiently with nearly 2200 patients being treated at the hospital on daily basis. It was also given out that illegal earth excavation form Karewas in the sub-division has already been put to halt. Moreover, work is also underway to upgrade sanitation mechanism for Sopore Town and the restoration of street lights across Sopore Town is also underway.
The Divisional Commissioner while impressing upon the Officers to keep issues of general public in priority, directed them to ensure efficient availability of water, electricity and ration to the public. The Divisional Commissioner took a comprehensive account of the situation of roads and traffic management in Sopore town. He also reviewed the work done under Shrakwara-I, Shrakwara-II and Watlab schemes which are the main water supply schemes for sub-division Sopore.
The Divisional Commissioner said that speedy disposal of the problems of common people must be ensured, so that the culture of good governance can be turned into the reality.The Divisional commissioner also took a comprehensive note of the relief distributed among the flood affected people. He stressed upon the concerned Officers that every affected family must be covered under the relief process.
