Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today visited Kupwara and took stock of developmental scenario of the district at an officers meeting held at Kupwara.The meeting was attended by Legislators, District Development Commissioner Kupwara and senior officers of the district.The Div Com also reviewed the stock and supply position of food grains and other essential commodities. He directed CA&PD to ensure smooth supply of essentials and LPG during ensuing month of Ramzan.Dr. Samoon also directed the concerned officers to formulate the District Plan as per the requirements of the people at grass root level.Earlier, the District Development Commissioner gave the detailed resume of developmental activities being carried out in the district.The Div Com also directed the concerned engineers to accelerate the developmental tempo in the district and ensure timely completion of all ongoing works. He also directed the PHE and PDD to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during the month of Ramzan.The meeting was informed that 29110 quintals of rice, 1100 quintals wheat, 1200 quintals of sugar and 20500 LPG cylinders is available in the district to cater the need of people for the month of June while as 10,000 quintals of rice, 1600 quintals of wheat and 300 quintals of sugar has been already supplied to the people of border areas.
