Chief Minister dedicated and inaugurated projects worth Rs. 42 crore in Nalagarh Sub-Division

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh dedicated Rs. 1.38 crore multipurpose Barrier Building at Barotiwala in Nalagarh sub pision of Solan district today. It would provide office accommodation and record room facility for Excise and Taxation Department, Marketing Board, ARTO Staff and Forest Department. He also inaugurated Baddi Technical Training Institute for skill up gradation development, constructed at a cost of Rs. 8.10 crore. He laid foundation stone of Hostel of Skill up gradation Centre for students to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.55 crore. Chief Minister also inaugurated Working Women Hostel at Baddi constructed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore. He laid foundation stone of Tehsil building complex, Baddi and announced Rs. one crore for it and Rs. three lakh for renovation of Ayurvedic Dispensary, Baddi. 

He laid foundation stone of bridge on Baddi-Sheetalpur Road to be constructed at a cost or Rs. 6.30 crore. He also dedicated road built under Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme and Bridge at Ratta near Malkhu Majra, Baddi constructed at a cost of Rs. 15.40 crore. He also laid foundation stone of parking complex at Nalagarh to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 80 lakh.Chief Minister while addressing a public meeting at Baddi said that skill development centre was a noble initiative of Government of India, Himachal Pradesh Government and Baddi-Barotiwala –Nalagarh Development Authority (BBNDA) under Private Public Partnership (PPP) mode. He said that State Government had announced Skill Development Allowance scheme for upgrading skills of the youth. Now 10th pass youth between 18 to 35 years of age would get Rs. One Thousand allowance per month for two years under the scheme. Physically challenged youths would be provided Rs. 1500 per month under the scheme.

Shri Virbhadra Singh said that BBNDA had been developed as an industrial area and an IAS Officer would be posted here. It was placed under the charge of Deputy Commissioner, Solan by the previous Government. He said that apart from industries, other infrastructure facilities such as roads, parking and parks would be developed to make the area beautiful and attractive. He said that industrial package was withdrawn from Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand due to unnecessary pressure from Punjab and Haryana. Chief Minister said that State would bear 25 percent cost of Bilaspur-Bhanupalli Broad Gauge Railway Line and construction cost of  new railway line connecting Baddi would be shared for promoting Baddi-Barotiwala –

Nalagarh Industrial area and an agreement to this effect had been signed with Ministry of Railways.Shri Virbhadra Singh said that when he was Union Minster for Micro, Small and Medium Industries, he had requested land for setting up full fledged Tool Room at Baddi but the previous Government did not provide adequate land for the purpose. He said that when he was Union Steel Minister, he had written to the then State Government to provide land for setting up two steel processing plants in the State with an investment of Rs. 150 to 200 crore. Steel Ministry was even ready to make payment for the land, but the land was never provided. He said that work on Container Depot was in final stage. Chief Minister was presented a cheque of Rs. five lakh by Shri Y.S. Guleria of TVS Motors and Rs. 1.21 lakh by Cipla & ITC Industries towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Chief Minister while thanking them for this generosity said that this money would be utilized for the welfare of needy and poor persons of the State.

Industries Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri speaking on the occasion said that present State Government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh was committed to provide all possible facilities to the entrepreneurs and environment friendly industries in the State. Himachal had abundant electricity, clean environment and responsive administration and industrialists should take benefit of these factors.  He said that new Industrial Policy was available on-line and suggestions were invited from the people and other concerned so that these may be incorporated in the policy to make it more comprehensive and industries friendly. He asked the industrialists to abide by the rules and regulations and to provide at least 70 per cent employment to Himachali youths in their units.  Shri Mukesh Agnihotri said that various projects worth Rs. 80 crore would be carried out under PPP Mode in BBND area for which GoI had provided Rs. 65 crore. He said that State Government had provided Rs. 500 crore for Skill development and Rs. 100 crore was received in first phase which would be utilized to enhance skills of 87000 youths. Industries Minister said that in order to solve the problem of parking in Sub-pisional Headquarter, BBNDA was constructing a parking complex near mini secretariat Nalagarh. He said that Rs. 80 lakh had been sanctioned for the purpose. It would have parking facility for 50 vehicles. Shri Rajender Guleria, President BBN Industrial Association welcomed the Chief Minister. Health Minister Shri Kaul Singh Thakur, President Nagar Parishad Baddi Shri Madan Chaudhary, Member Zila Parishad Shri Paramjeet Singh Pammi, DCC President Shri Rahul Thakur, Chairman APMC Shri Ramesh 

Thakur, Chairman, H.P. Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Bawa Hardeep Singh, Vice Chairman HPSIDC Shri Atul Sharma,  Ex MLA Shri Lajja Ram, Advisor to the Chief Minister Shri T.G. Negi, Deputy Commissioner Solan Shri Madan Chauhan, S.P. Baddi Shri S. Arul Kumar, Shri Surender Sethi BoD Member, HPTDC, Shri Vinod Sultanpuri, General Secretary PCC, Shri Mohan Mehta, Chairman Jogindera Cenral Cooperative Bank, Shri P.C. Negi, Chairman, HPSEB, Sh. R.S. Negi, Commissioner, Excise and Taxation, Shri Rajender Singh, M.D. HPSIDC, Shri Mohan Chauhan Director Industries, Senior officers and other prominent persons were also present on the occasion.
