MLA Langate and President Awami Ittihhad Party (AIP) Er Rashid Monday asked Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed to tell people of the state who among his two cabinet ministers Dr Nirmal Singh and Altaf Bukhari is lying and making a joke to the sufferings of Kashmiri people which they have faced due to last year’s devastating floods.In a statement to KNS he said “Dr Nirmal Singh’s claims that only 1500 crores are required for the compensation of flood victims is an ample proof that not only there is a huge communication gap between coalition partners but BJP wants to insult Kashmiris over every issue and PDP seems to have no option except watching like a mute spectator. The 100 days of Mufti govt. have yielded nothing except bringing humiliation to Kashmiris viz-a-viz their political and development aspirations and leaving PDP embarrassed for surrendering everything on daily basis.
Not only PDP has forgotten self rule formula for resolution of Kashmir issue, but the self rule PDP ministers and MLA had dreamed to enjoy for themselves has also been dashed to earth.”“Political differences apart I too feel pity for Mufti Sahib as many Kashmiris were seeing in him a leader of vision and ideas but all the hopes proved futile. It is better for Mufti to end up the unholy alliance with BJP and go back to people for a fresh mandate if he has any self respect. BJP has left no stone unturned in implementing its fascist anti Muslim agenda on war footing basis while PDP seems clueless at all fronts,” he added.Er Rashid asked BJP if it can’t help the flood victims, the least it could do is to allow international aid in Kashmir for the rehabilitation.
