Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today convened a high level officer meeting here today and reviewed the arrangements being made for ensuing Amarnath Yatra 2015 which would be commenced from July 2nd and  conclude on 19 August 2015.Deputy Commissioners Anantnag and Ganderbal, Chief Engineer Power Development Department, Director CA&PD, Director Animal Husbandry, Executive Officer Shrine Board, Joint Director Information and the officers of Army, CRPF and J&K Police and other officers were present in the meeting. 

While reviewing the arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra, the Divisional Commissioner was informed that 7500 yatries will be allowed for yatra every day. He was informed that 1, 50,000 yatries have registered their name for yatra up to this date. He was informed that adequate arrangements for the yatries have been made for this purpose the Health Department has established 25 medical camps on various destinations in the Pahalgam and Baltal routes for providing medical facilities besides ambulance services.The Div Com was apprised that the department of CA&PD has made elaborate arrangements for providing adequate quantity of ration, sugar, LPG and K.oil while Power Development Department has made arrangements for uninterrupted power supply up to the Chandanwari base camp. The Chief Engineer PDD told that on every destination generator system would be installed to facilitate the yatries.

The Director Animal Husbandry told that the services of 30,000 horses will be arranged to facilitate the yatries during the yatra.The Div Com was informed that Forest department will 12000 quintals of firewood to facilitate the yatries during chilly on various destination via Pahalgam and Baltal.The meeting was told that Jammu and Kashmir Bank will provide the facilities of ATMs at Baltal and Sonamarg. The Metrology department was asked to provide information regarding weather prediction in advance to the yatries so that they could not face any difficulty.It was given out in the meeting that renovation work of road from Khanbal to Chandanwari will be has been started.
