Div Com Kashmir visits Ziarats, Mosques of Srinagar city, oversees arrangements on Eid-ul-Azha

pisional Commissioner, Kashmir,  Shalender Kumar along with team of officers today visited various Ziarats and Mosques of Srinagar city and took stock of the arrangements put in place for the devotees on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.The shrines visited by Mr. Kumar included, Hazratbal Shrine, Jamia Masjid Srinagar, Amambara Jadibal, Mir Shamash-ul-Din AraqiJadibal, besides Eidgah and reviewed the arrangements made there for the convenience of devotees.Mr. Shalender directed the district administration for making adequate arrangements of transport, security and proper sanitation in and around the Ziarats and Mosques. He also directed the PHE and PDD authorities for ensuring uninterrupted water and power supply during the festival days. He directed the CA&PD and Police Department to keep vigil on the sale and purchase of sacrifice animals to keep a check on the profiteering.Mr. Shalinder directed the district administration to activate the market checking squads to curb the menace of hoarding and profiteering. He said that anyone  found indulging in any unlawful activities would be dealt strictly as per law.A number of deputations and inpiduals also met the pisional Commissioner and apprised him about the problems being confronted to them in their respective areas.
