Minister for Revenue, Javed Mustafa Mir has asked the authorities of Education Department to rationalize the teaching staff in educational institutions, especially in Chadura constituency, so that the education of students, mostly belonging to poor families, does not suffer. He asked the authorities to take necessary corrective and result originated measures for setting the education system right.The Minister was reviewing the functioning of educational institutions operating in Chadura constituency and available facilities at an officers meeting here today.
Expressing displeasure over the existing system in the offices of education department of the district, the Minister said that stern action needs to be taken against those who are responsible for spoiling the system. He asked the officers to repatriate the teaching staff shifted earlier from the educational institutions of the constituency to other areas so that the education of the poor students, enrolled there, is resumed. He said it is our duty to improve the educational standards in the Govt. run schools as these cater to the needs of the poor of the society.
The meeting was informed that Rs. 1.67 crore have been released for construction of four school buildings in the constituency which included middle schools at Kenihama, Sumerbugh, Rakh Shalina and Kuzwere. Of these, middle schools Rakh Shalina and Kuzwere have been completed while work is in progress on middle school Sumerbugh and Kenihuma, the meeting was told. Director School Education, Kashmir, Chief Education Officer, Budgam, Zonal Education Officers from B.K.Pora, Chadura and Nagam were present in the meeting.
