Minister for Revenue, Javed Mustafa Mir reviewed the status of road and drainage projects being executed by Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) in Chadoora constituency at an officers meeting here today.The meeting discussed in-detail the drainage and road projects completed by ERA in the constituency including Natipora-Chrarisharif road and drainage system of Nowgam. The drainage issues of Railway colony, Khawajapora, Khanday colony and Bonpora also came up for discussion.It was informed that Rs. 32 crore have been expended on construction and up-gradation of Natipora-Chrarisharief road.
Expressing displeasure over the condition of Natipora-Chrarisharief road constructed by ERA, the Minister exhorted upon the authorities of ERA to maintain quality of work and ensure usage of quality material as per fixed specifications. He said the road has turned into ditch at several places and asked them to rectify it.The Minister said that several areas of the constituency are low-lying and asked the agency to frame drainage projects to drain out water from these villages. It was felt that construction of STP and dewatering pumps are necessary to overcome the problem.Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Director ERA, Project Director, ERA and other senior officers of the Agency were present in the meeting.
