Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare Ms. Asiya Naqash today visited community Health Centres,Primary Health Centres of Sumbal, Sonawari, Hajan SafaPora, Naidkhai and Trigam areas and reviewed their functioning.The Minister took stock of the medical facility being provided to the patients at these centres and interacted with patients and their attendants. She also inspected wards, labs, OPD and other Medicare units.Ms Asiya Naqash interacted with ASHA and Anganwari workers during her visit and highlighted the importance of mother and child care. She said that ASHA and Anganwari workers have to play important role in creating awareness among the people about the Health Care facilities available under different schemes including National Health Mission (NHM).
The Minister asked the authorities to equip the hospitals with latest diagnostic facilities and other equipments and ensure availability of all Medicare facilities to the patients so that they do not suffer during their medical investigation. She announced that the Primary Health Centre SafaPora will function round the clock from today and directed the Hospital authorities to implement the orders with letter and spirit. She said that an ambulance would be provided to PHC SafaPora soon.During the visit to Community Health Centre, Hajan a large number of locals met the Minister and demanded posting of a lady doctor and other Para-medics. Asiya Naqash stressed on regular cleanliness of wards and corridors and maintaining proper sanitation of the hospitals.On the occasion, the Director General Indian System of Medicines (ISM), Director Family Welfare briefed the Minister about the facilities being given to the indoor patients.
