Virbhadra Singh exhorts parents to enroll their wards in government schools

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that the State government was making best efforts to provide quality education to the youth of the State near to their homes and to achieve this objective, educational institutes were being opened upto far-flung areas. He said that infrastructure was being strengthened in these institutes and the government had also introduced English, Mathematics and Hindi subjects from first class in order to enable children to excel in board and competitive examinations.The Chief Minister, who was addressing a public meeting at Bainchi in Manali assembly segment of Kullu district exhorted the parents to enroll their wards in government schools where the teachers were more qualified and experienced.The Chief Minister announced upgradation of middle school Archandi to high school and primary school Bandrol to middle school.Earlier, he laid foundation stone of government high school building at Palchan to cost 3.73 crore, and a bridge over Solang Nallah to be completed with an outlay of Rs.3.72 crores. 

He also laid foundation stone of water supply scheme Raison, Mali-pathar at Bainchi in GP Raison to cost Rs. 2.56 crore. The scheme would benefit population of around 5000 and would facilitate 16 villages of the area. He also laid foundation stone of additional building of government senior secondary school Shalang and building of GSSS Bhalyani at Shalang which will cost Rs.1.11 crore and Rs  1.62 crore respectively.Block Congress Committee President Shri Bhuvnesh Gaur welcomed the Chief Minister and tabled the demands of the area.Later, the Chief Minister also addressed Public meeting at Bhutti.State Youth Congress President, Shri Vikramaditya Singh, MLA, Banjar, Shri Karan Singh, Chairman, Wool Federation, Shri Raghuvir Thakur, Chairman Zila Parishad, Shri Hari Chand Sharma, DCC President, Shri Bhudi Singh Thakur,  Deputy Commissioner, Kullu Shri Rakesh Kanwar, OSD to Chief Minister, Shri Amit Pal Singh, Director Higher Education, Shri Dinkar Burathoki, Congress leader, Shri Dharamvir Dharmani were also present on the occasion amongst panchayat representatives, Members of Yuvak and Mahila Mandals.
