Kindergartener hospitalized after teachers beat him up

A kindergarten was hospitalized beaten to pulp by his teachers in a private school of Mendhar in border district of Poonch, his parents said here.The boy identified as four year old Farhaan Akhtar, son of Akhtar Ali, resident of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh is a student of Yaseen English School in Mustafa Nagar of Mendhar.Talking to news gathering agency GNS, his parents said Farhaan had not learned his lesson yesterday and his teachers identified as Jamsheed Ahmad and Abdul Basit, who is also school’s principal, thrashed him to pulp with a stick. “He received bruises on his arms, shoulders, legs due to beating,” they said, adding, today when their son went again to school, the same was repeated.

“They hung him upside down and beat him like anything,” the parents of Farhaan said. They said when their son returned home he was “extremely depressed” and didn’t eat anything.The parents of the boy rushed him to Sub District Hospital Mendhar where he is under treatment.Dr Javeed, who is looking after the boy, confirmed the bruise injuries to GNS and said he is under treatment. He said there are multiple injuries on the body of the student.Meanwhile, the parents of the boy have filed a written complaint at police station Mendhar. The Station House Officer (SHO) Anzar Ali told GNS that the action would follow against the teachers who thrashed the young boy. (GNS)
