Assures Exemplary Punishment To Culprits

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today met the family members of deceased Arshdeep Kaur and expressed deep grief over the tragic incident. Mr. Badal met the victim's family in civil hospital Moga and termed that the incident was ‘very unfortunate’. Assuring the family for exemplary punishment to the culprits, Mr. Badal said  Punjab government was with the aggrieved family and every possible measure would be adopted to bring the culprits before exemplary punishment. He said that Punjab would take appropriate steps to safeguard the honour and dignity of women in the state. He said state government had set up a committee to suggest ways to ensure the complete security for the commuters in public transport.Consoling the family, Mr. Badal said he when he came to know about the incident, he was personally felt shocked and anguish over the tragic incident and directed the Police administration to take the needful action. He said that requisite directions have also been issued to law enforcing agencies for strict compliance of law and order measures. Agriculture Minister Jathedar Tota Singh, Deputy Commissioner Moga Mr. Parminder Singh Gill and senior officers of District Administration was also present.
