In a bid to transfer the scholarship amounts into the bank accounts of the beneficiary students without any delay, the Punjab Government has appealed the students to link their bank accounts with the Aadhar cards. This practice has been initiated to credit the scholarships online with transparent manner. Divulging the details, an official spokesperson of the welfare department said that State Government is providing different kind of scholarships to SC, BC and Minority students and the amount is being transferred direct into their bank accounts. He said that according to new instructions all the beneficiary students are now required to link their bank accounts with Aadhar cards.
