Kisan Morcha today expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for increasing relief to calamity hit farmers by 50 percent. The National Spokesperson of BJP Kisan Morcha Sh  Vineet Joshi stated that this year March-April received 10 percent higher rainfall.Last 100 years’ record of hailstorms, hail and crop damage too have been surpassed. Understanding the pain of farmers, NDA government stands by them. While earlier farmers used to get Rs 3600 compensation per acre, now they would get it increased by 50 percent at Rs 5400 per acre. The farmer – friendly Modi government has decreased damage assessing standards from 50 percent to 33 percent. Now those farmers will also get benefit whose 33 percent crop has suffered damage.

The decrease in standard would bring even those farmers under the ambit of compensation, who were earlier left beret of it. Earlier for years together even 49 percent damaged crops were not compensated for.  Caring for the farming community, the Modi government has taken such a good decision. The PM has also directed the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to increase the loan term for farmers. The union government has also relaxed standards in rabi crops. Due to incessant rains the wheat, mustard and other crops color, size and moisture content are different than required. The Food Security Ministry has given relaxation to necessitate easy procurement so that the crops of rain affected farmers can be bought. The Kisan Morcha has expressed heartfelt gratitude to farmer.
