Started around two years ago with an aim to provide good education to students from economically weaker background, the objective was again revived when Aryans Group of Colleges renewed its MoU with Navjyoti Foundation, started by Dr. Kiran Bedi, first woman IPS officer and social activist. In its first endeavour, the college in association with the foundation had identified as many as 30 students who could not afford higher education. The Aryans Group enrolled these students for various Professional courses to make them self-reliant. It was a dream come true for these students when after two years they could see themselves as earning and supporting their families. The college as well as the foundation also sought help from banks to provide financial aid to these students. Taking this step further, Aryans Group of Colleges has again signed the MoU with Navjyoti Foundation for three years in the presence of Dr Kiran Bedi and Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges. This also marks the sixth founder’s day celebration of the college. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kiran Bedi said that the sapling that was envisaged as a full-grown tree two years ago is now bearing fruits. She further said that if social set-ups, educational institutions and banks join hand together, they can do wonders in developing the nation. She also rued that higher education was going beyond a common man’s reach.

Meanwhile, Dr. Anshu Kataria said that keeping in view these students’ financial condition, the group offered courses in BBA to 20 students and in MBA to 10 students from Navjyoti Foundation. “Of these 30 students all the MBA students are settled; seven have been placed with well-known companies, two are running their own business and one has decided to study further,” he stated. He further informed that to mark the 6th founder’s day, the group would offer scholarships worth Rs six crore in the next two years, which would range from Rs 10,000 to Rs. 3 lakhs.  Sharing her experience, Nitika Bagla originally hailing from Bathinda said that she could not study further after her father’s demise as the family could not afford it. “Aryans helped me realise my dreams. Apart from being educated, I am also able to contribute to my family income now.” Another Sukanto from Delhi shared his experience, “My parents were not very well-off, hence I could not go for higher education. With the help of Aryans Group, I have also been placed in a good company and am happy to be working and self-reliant.” Also present on the occasion were Prof. D.C. Kataria,Vice chairman Aryans group, Mrs. Rajani Kataria Treasurer Aryans group, Dr. Parveen Kataria Director General Aryans Group, P.B.
