A soldier and a police official were killed on Thursday in a fierce gunbattle with guerrillas in Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said.Security forces on Thursday morning surrounded a house in Hardashuru village, near Tangmarg, after receiving information about militants hiding there."As the security forces closed in on the militants, they started indiscriminate firing, triggering an exchange of fire," a police official told IANS."One SPO (Special Police Officer) and one soldier have been killed, while one soldier is injured," the official added.
