Minister of State for Power, Mr. Vikar Rasool, while replying to Calling Attention Notice of Dr. Syed Bashir Ahmad Veeri, said that the HT line (33 KV) passing through orchards in Shagam and Sirhama area is on 9 Mt high ST/PCC poles and due to growth of trees in these orchards during past years, the ground clearance of the line has decreased.The Minister said that since there is no right of way available for shifting of this line, proposal for up-gradation of this line by way of replacing 9 Mt high ST/PCC poles by 11 Mt high ST poles amounting to Rs. 96.06 lakh has been framed and is being referred to TEC for Techno Economic Clearance. The work will be taken into the hand after accord of TEC and arrangement of Funds, he maintained.
