A delegation of Himachal Full time and Part time Water Carrier Association met Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh here today and urged him to fulfill the long lasting demands of the Association.Shri Ram Lal Sharma, the President of the Association apprised the Chief Minister that the previous BJP Government failed to make an appropriate policy for the water carriers and they were deprived of their rights.He urged the Chief Minister to regularize the services of full time water carrier. He also demanded to increase the honorarium from Rs. 1300 to Rs. 3000 per month as they were finding it very difficult to meet their both ends with this meager amount.The Association also requested to provide 12 leaves to the full time water carriers.Shri Virbhadra Singh assured the delegation to consider its demands sympathetically.
