The Punjab Government has decided to conduct the exams of first Semester of Self Financed Elementary Teacher Training College of education for the session 2011-13 shortly. Disclosing this here today Punjab Education Minister  Sikander Singh Maluka said that the fee would be taken as already decided by the committee nominated. He said as per the policy of the 60:40 ratio and with the approval of education department the seats would be filled on merit and on the basis of Elementary Teacher Training eligibility test. He issued directions to all the self financed colleges not to start any session before the prior approval of the education department. He said if any college found guilty, the affiliation of the said institution will be cancelled without any notice. The Minister further said that the strict action would be initiated against those who do not follow the policy of the Government. He also said that such colleges would be fined to the tune of Rs. 10000/- per day for all the semesters of the course.
