Over Rs 24 lakh expended on Charsoo filtration Plant: Gurezi

The Minister of State for PHE, I&FC  Nazir Ahmad Gurezi said that Rs 74.69 lakh have been approved for construction of filtration plant at Charsoo against which Rs 24.33 lakh stands expended. He said that Rs 5.97 lakh have been released during current fiscal for the project.The Minister was replying to Calling Attention Notice of Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Shah.He said delay in construction of plant was due to the fact that land owner was not allowing the department to start the construction work prior to the engagement as Casual Labour in lieu of the land, adding that the mutation papers in favour of the department is under process for issuance of orders. He said work on the filtration plant will be taken up within a couple of days.
